Two things Happening

G.O.O.D has made decisions on marketing for the trailer. The first is initially to create a youtube webpage, instead of a layout for a website. The reason for this is because Youtube is one of the most popularly visited websites, and by displaying a page that has all related aspects to the trailer, means that the audience will receive more of a teaser into the film. However cautions must be taken not to reveal to much of the film, because it may defer them from wanting to see the film, because they may already know the ending.

The second thought process, is a dvd print. It came across to the group, as 'why stop at a DVD cover' why not also produce a DVD print. This wouldn't neccaserily be for marketing on its own, but if it was used in an advert after the films released it could entice the viewers into buying the DVD, if the cover doesn't do it for them. Hopefully the cover will do its justice, but what is wrong with making a little more effort, to ensure success?

Relation to Front Cover

Here is an image that was created in Photoshop. It is an image of a shiny dessert eagle. There was the option to photograph a gun however the gun wasn't available there fore one was created in Photoshop using nothing but solid shapes and a bevel and emboss filter

Location Scouting:Hall Place

Recently, on of G.O.O.Ds members found a good place to shoot one of the trailer scenes. A local area called a Hall Place, in bexleyheath, has a huge old victorian house that is free to entry, and okay to photograph. Permission will soon be asked if filming can take place in one of the rooms if it is acceptable and if there arent alot of people viewing the day of shooting.

The scene that is wanted to take place is the scene where Petrov face is first scene. The character mentions that FRANK MILLER is killing all of his men, and is getting very angry, so he sends some of his men to go after him.

Here are images that were taken of the possible rooms where it could be filmed.

Front Cover Shots and Posters

G.O.O.D recently took place in a photoshoot. Achieved from this were front cover pictures, also a poster idea that was picked up when looking at the film KICK ASS. Recent posts will sum up this and how it came about.

Here are the images that were decided upon as the best, and the best of these will be edited into a DVD cover and poster. However whether or not it is the final product is yet to be decided.

Fighting

When a director wants to create a fight scene, it is all dependant on the actors skills. If the actor cannot fight they will do quick cut shots to make it seem as though they can. A good example for this is in the Bourne Identity, where quick cuts are used throughout to make it seem like matt damon is fighting, however it is just minor stage directions he follows to create the scene.

However in other films, often chinese/japenese films, the actor can fight very well so long takes/shots are used to show off the fact that the actors can fight. Good examples of these are often used in Bruce Lees Enter the dragons etc

Filming: First Fight scene

This post will be the uploads from a filming shoot that took place Wednesday 7th November. It was a very productive day however time was the limit. It was a great day to film because the sun was shining, and it added a cool effect, when it seeped through the cracked windows and doors of the building.

Here are some images that were taken, also a clip will be uploaded of the camera angle that is used throughout the entire fight scene, so you can see the fight from start to finish.

Filming: A fight Scene

A fight scene will soon be filmed in a location of an old club, that has been abandoned. It is a good place to represent a gangster hideaway, where dodgy deals take place etc. Charlie from G.O.O.D did a session with the Star of the film, and Alex Leigh was there to record the choreographing.

Here are some images and some videos of the hour spent on rehearsing.

Fight scenes will be allocated to different scenes, however these are currently undecided.
