Filming: Uploads of Scenes from London

Filming

G.O.O.D has been incredibly busy over the past weeks, filming scenes for the trailer.Ventures to London and abandoned warehouses for fight scenes and romance shots, also other shots such as Petrov walking into a building from a high vantage point. This is why there has been a lack of posts.

Here are some images from the London trip, where scenes such as Lucy and Franks love scene, Frank outside a hospital, and the Pelican stalking shot, were filmed.

Videos of some of the shots will be uploaded shortly so you have a good idea of what the scenes will look like.

Ancillary Tasks-Poster

Unfortunatley, posts about the Ancillary tasks have been rare to this blog , however thats about to change. Soon all the props would have arrived so the DVD covers shoot will be able to take place. Also the final sketch will be uploaded when it has been photographed. Relating back to the film Kick Ass, that was recently mentioned with the idea for Petrovs costume, the images below were found via Google.

These images above, are great ideas for posters. As you can see each character from the film, has a poster, and this has created a little game for marketing the film. When people see the film advertised, then they see these posters, they will want to find the other characters, and see the differences. This then imbeds the film into the spectators minds, making them want to watch the film.

The low angle of all the pictures creates dominance, also the perspective makes the image look fantastic. Instead of a repetitive poster that is seen everywhere, this idea of having different posters, to create a game for the spectators, has made the film already a lot more interesting.

An example of another film that recently used this is the final Harry Potter, Part 2. The front cover image, was devided up and scattered around london, as banners. Already to the films success, this still made all the difference, because it made the film interesting again, because it was said that from film critics, that

'part 1, hasn't left an interesting enough cliff hanger, to what was expected', and simple advertising such as this helped it regain some of its audience, becase it made it interesting again. Although the idea is small as is the result of audience that it will improve the film by, 'every little helps'

Inmate Form-Petrov has been convicted

Below are images that have been produced in photoshop by the group, also a photo shoot took place to get pictures for the prop.

The form, is a prisoner form that has finger prints and details of the prisoner, also known as a prisoner file. In the trailer, the folder will be handed to Frank Miller, when he is alerted that Petrov has escaped, shortly after being arrested. Then Frank goes home to find his beloved girlfriend/wife, dead. A way needs to be invented to proove that it was Petrov Kane who killed her, perhaps he has left something behind, that FRANK knows is petrovs, because of their history, maybe a note, or a accessory PETROV is always seen wearing.

All the above three images, are the same form just with a different colour, or a different size.

On these forms will be written details, also thumb and finger prints, done with a stamp ink palet

Below are final pictures from a photo shoot that was done recently. The images were made to look bad, with that tacky low quality camera effect, to show the fact that it is a mug shot.

The best picture will be attatched to the above forms, with a paper clip, as will other pictures, of stalking shots of the pelican, which will be photographed outside warehouses or built up urban places. A telescopic scope will be used so the shot looks authentic, and as if the police have taken it from a distance

This shot is often seen with celebrity photos, a paparazzi shot almost.

Trailer Music

This post is a bit out of the blue, and shouldn't be something that should even be considered yet, but there is a need. The trailer music, will be created by G.O.O.D's audio and sound editor, Alex. The MP3 above was found on a YouTube search when looking for the Short film video, that has recently been posted. It begins soft and slow then kicks in to a fast rapid rock momentum and it was just seen as something that could have potential as a trailer music. Other songs and instrumentals have been considered but are currently unavailable, and the group will dedicate an hour to deciding on what will happen with the music, however at a later date, most probably when all of the cliups have been recorded.

Speaking of Sound, also recording, some sfx that will be possible to record such as punching or gun reloads, will be recorded in a studio session soon, however any other more complex sounds will be found using freesound.org

Petrov's Outfit

Today a Photoshoot took place, photographing Petrov's actor in for prop images that will go onto a form, which in the trailer is handed to Frank to alert him that Petrov has escaped. The pictures are mug shot pictures that are conventionally and realistically taken when a criminal is being convicted and processed of his or her crime. The images for this will soon be uploaded as will the final edits to make the images look authentic.

This got the group thinking about uniforms, and costumes. Frank had already had both his outfits sorted out, also the Henchman for Petrov will be wearing black suits, just to show the success the gang has in the Gangster life, however, although it was decided for Petrov to be wearing a suit, the colour of the suit and the shirt hadnt been decided.

A 2010 film called KICK ASS starring Aaron Johnson and Nicholas Cage, as superhero crime fighters, but at a comical view, brought a fresh, new modern look to the stereotypical gangster of today.

Frank D'amico, a high up gangster of New York, sets out to kill Kick Ass in the film, however this isn't why the film is being brought to your attention. The costume that Frank D'amico wears is a silk grey suit, paired with a bright red shirt, probably to symbolise danger.

The reason the Henchman are going to be in black is because if you notcie in the first picture, all of Frank D'amicos henchman are in a grey suit also, so the group never felt he stood out, however in the picture below, you can see that the red shirt really stands out, also makes Frank look really dangerous.

The search is now on to find this red shirt, for the grey suit is already owned by a group member, Charlie Morgan, who after long consideration and silent auditions, where the co workers audition without even knowing, found he would actually be best suited to this part.

a post will be added shortly on the cast, and picture profiles to go with it.
